Lochrin Square is within ten minutes walk of both Princes Street and Haymarket railway station, and also within a few minutes bus ride from Edinburgh Waverley Station. It is ideally placed for access by road to the City Bypass, West Edinburgh and Edinburgh International Airport. The area is well served by buses, and is close to the new tram route due to open by 2011. It also lies on the designated footpath & cycle way from the Union Canal to the City Centre.

In addition to the ground floor restaurant at No 1 Lochrin Square, a variety of restaurants and bars can be found at nearby Edinburgh Quay and Fountain Park leisure complex. These are complemented by a wider offering of city centre retail outlets along nearby Lothian Road and Princes Street.
